Our 46th year of Beautiful Music

The Mission Statement of the Choral Society of the Palm Beaches, Inc. is to promote choral music, contribute to live musical entertainment, and provide cultural enrichment to the community. The "Community Chorus of North Palm Beach County" was founded in 1962 by Shirley Spitzer Anschutz, with Stan Doyle as its first director. As membership and audiences grew, the group was renamed "The North County Choral Society" and eventually "The Choral Society of the Palm Beaches."

Over the years the Choral Society has produced many sacred and secular pieces in addition to such major works as:

Handel's Messiah
Vivaldi's Gloria
Britten's Ceremony of Carols
Fauré's Requiem
Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors
Vaughn-Williams' Hodie
Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore and Pirates of Penzance
Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass and Creation

The quality of life in a community can be measured in direct proportion to the vitality of its performing arts organizations. The Choral Society of the Palm Beaches, Inc. is a choral performing group composed of 75 volunteer singers from Palm Beach and Martin Counties. We are now entering our 46th season of bringing beautiful music to our community and contributing to its quality of life.

We are affiliated with Palm Beach Community College and perform 3 major concerts at the Eissey Theatre in Palm Beach Gardens each year.
