Calvin C. Gage is an emeritus professor of the
Crane School of Music, Potsdam College, Potsdam, New York. Mr. Gage's education includes degrees from the Crane School and Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. As a performer, Mr. Gage has performed as a tenor solist with such notable conductors as Robert Shaw, Helen Hosmer, Nadia Boulanger and Brock McElhoran. While on the faculty of the Crane School, he conducted the Concert Choir and the internationally known Crane Chorus, a festival chorus of 250 voices. He was recognized by the ACDA and received the Chapter Award for 1992 as the "Outstanding Choral Conductor" in New York State. Recently retired, Mr. Gage resides in Palm Beach Gardens with his wife Gail.
